If you’re bringing a bottle of Maker’s Mark home for the holidays, the distiller wants to help you with your baggage fee.
You can’t take a bottle in your carry-on, so through December 31 (or until the funds run out), you can upload a checked-baggage receipt at https://whiskyflights.makersmark.com/ and Maker’s Mark will reimburse you.
The distillery will cover up to $50,000 in baggage fees for travelers 21 years old and older as part of this inaugural “Whisky Flights” promotion.
“We know you can’t bring a bottle of Maker’s Mark Bourbon in your carry-on luggage, so we’re encouraging folks to check a bag on their next holiday-bound flight so they can bring a little spirit home to share,” Rob Samuels, eighth-generation whisky maker and grandson of Maker’s Mark founder Bill Samuels Sr., said in a news release.
