Members of the Bourbon Women Association, a group founded in Kentucky in 2011 to provide educational and networking opportunities for women who appreciate America’s native spirit, have a lot in common besides their love of bourbon. They’re smart, sophisticated, confident and adventurous. And they prefer their cocktails to be as bold as they are.
The Bourbon Women’s inaugural “Not Your Pink Drink” contest encourages mixologists both professional and amateur to create a cocktail that reflects the sassy spirit of the Bourbon Women Association. Entries must include bourbon and at least two other ingredients – and the resulting drink can’t be pink!
The winners in each division will be announced at the prestigious Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, Ky., in September and will be declared the official cocktails of the Bourbon Women Association for one year.
