Hey, it’s the weekend, and with luck, you’ll be headed out to your favorite local watering hole to enjoy some bourbon. But what if your choices included bars featured in movies? Where would you go then?
ShortList.com mulled it over and published a list of The 20 Best Movie Bars in motion picture history. Places like The Slaughtered Lamb, above, in “An American Werewolf in London” (just don’t ask about the five-pointed star on the wall); Rick’s Café Americain from “Casablanca” (of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world); the Park Hyatt Piano Bar from “Lost in Translation” (Bill Murray!); and the Mos Eisley Cantina from “Star Wars,” below (the pirate city may be a “wretched hive of scum and villainy,” but they sure know how to blow the… whatever those are).
Read the entire list here, then let me know: What did they leave out? How about that nondescript hotel bar in “Out of Sight” – but only if George Clooney is there.
(Sorry. I know that song is now running through your brain. Have another drink.)
