If you’ve been considering joining the Bourbon Women Association (and if you are a woman who loves bourbon, you really should be), now is the time. Your $50 membership fee qualifies you for an exclusive Holiday Shopping Party at the Springhurst Liquor Barn, 4301 Towne Center Drive in Louisville, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 (Thursday).
This holiday affair is complimentary for Bourbon Women members and will feature a tasting with Chris Morris, Master Distiller at Woodford Reserve, from 5:30 to 6:30; hors d’oeuvres; and a discount on all purchases (excluding domestic beer). It’s a great way to stock up for holiday parties or purchase personalized gift baskets.
Your annual membership in Bourbon Women (renewable on the anniversary date) also gets you on the invitation list for all BW events, which combine socializing (and bourbon, of course) with terrific behind-the-scenes access. Past events have included the inaugural reception at the Governor’s Mansion; a personal tasting with Jim Beam’s master distiller, Fred Noe; and “Not Your Mama’s Sunday Dinner,” a special night in the kitchen with Brown Hotel Chef Geroli.
Upcoming events include a cocktail party at 21C Art Hotel and private tours of Maker’s Mark and Woodford Reserve.
