Free Bourbon (Society)

If you’ve been intending to check out The Bourbon Society, mark your calendar for Tuesday, Nov. 15, when the Louisville group holds its annual Open Meeting, free and open to all bourbon lovers.

At Tuesday’s meeting, The Bourbon Society will ponder the question: Why eat your “wheaties” when you can sip them? Bourbon writer Susan Reigler will lead a tasting of bourbons with wheat in their mash bills, rather than rye. There will also be a sampling of a wheat whiskey (made with 51 percent wheat).

While the meeting is free, you do need to RSVP to membership chairman Evan Thurmond at Evan@LifetimeWealthStrategies.net. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Pendennis Club, 218 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.

The Bourbon Society meets the third Tuesday of the month. Annual membership is $100, renewing in July. Find out more about the group – as well as its annual Repeal Day Dinner Celebration, coming up on Dec. 3 – here.
