Ah, sweet weekend

The weekend is almost here, my fellow bourbon lovers. How will you spend it? There are lots of ways to work bourbon in; here is one you might not have encountered that seems particularly suited for the fall/holiday season: Fresh Market’s Bourbon Pecans.

These large pecan pieces coated in a brown-sugar-and-bourbon glaze – excuse me, I had to mop the drool off my keyboard – are available prepackaged, or you can scoop out your own serving. There is nutritional info on the label that I refuse to read, because why, and they are pricey – but then, I said they were from Fresh Market, right? The most important thing is, they are goooood.

Fresh Market has a recipe on its website for Bourbon Pecan Brie Pastries that could serve as an appetizer or dessert. It looks pretty easy, but not as easy as eating the Bourbon Pecans right out of the container. Enjoy your weekend!
