If you’re ready to kick Derby week off in style, strap on your fanciest hat and check out a new event in Bardstown on Sunday: The Bardstown Julep Jubilee. Held on the patio of the Harrison Smith House at 103 E. Stephen Foster downtown from 1 to 4 p.m., the brunch features Kentucky favorites like Hot Brown casserole, biscuits and gravy, a green salad with Benedictine dressing, and more. Admission includes two specialty drinks, and there will be a cash bar. The first 50 tickets are $50 each; after that, they are $75. All proceeds benefit the community and schools in Nelson County. The event is presented by Next Generation Nelson County, a group formed to identify and educate young leaders in the community.
