Cheers to all the Kentucky winners at the 85th annual Academy Awards:
- Best Actress Jennifer Lawrence, a Louisville native (nice recovery from that fall, too)
- George Clooney, one of the producers of Best Picture winner “Argo” (his second Oscar, following Best Supporting Actor for “Syriana” in 2006)
- Kentucky native Abraham Lincoln, so ably portrayed by Best Actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
During his opening, Oscar host Seth MacFarlane tossed Clooney a small bottle of whiskey as an apology for this line about the youngest Oscar nominee:
“In 16 years Quvenzhané Wallis will be too young to date George Clooney.”
I couldn’t make out the brand and so far haven’t found reference to it – anyone know?
