It’s all about the ladies at ReSurfaced: The Bourbon Edition tonight, June 12, from 5-7 p.m. Women-only groups like Bourbon Women and Whiskey Chicks will fill the event space at 615 W. Main St. in Louisville. Yours truly, The Bourbon Babe, will be staffing the Bourbon Women table – stop by and say hello!
In addition, ReSurfaced will welcome Andrea Wilson of Michter’s, who was the first woman to chair the Kentucky Distillers’ Association; Britt Chavanne with Willett; Kelly Ramsey of Art Eatables, the world’s first certified bourbon chocolatier; Linda Ruffenach founder of Whisky Chicks; and Joy Perrine, a master bartender who literally wrote the book on Kentucky bourbon cocktails.
Ladies’ Night will feature educational information and bourbon-themed prizes.
ReSurfaced: The Bourbon Edition is open every Thursday through Saturday (except for June 20) from 5 p.m. to midnight during June, featuring live music, art, local food, and, of course, bourbon. The new Bourbon Edition of the ReSurfaced initiative is being curated by the effort’s founder, City Collaborative and Jecorey “1200” Arthur, and is sponsored by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association.
