The advent of fall calls for cocktails with rich, deep flavors. This one features both the dark fruit notes of fig and the brightness of orange, which is a natural complement to bourbon.
1 tablespoon fig jam (I used Dalmatia Orange Fig Spread to boost the orange quotient)
1½ ounces bourbon (I used Four Roses Yellow Label)
¼ ounce orange liqueur (I used Grand Marnier)
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
